The Jane Austen Book Club

is the title of the movie i watched yesterday. and i absolutely loved it. I'm going to read all of the books this summer, but I've already read pride and prejudice, and i think i will read it again because it is my all time favorite book, and movie (the one with kiera knightly, not the dreadful 6 hour one, or any other production of it, the kiera one is so much better and i cry every time i watch it. and it doesn't take up a whole day which is kind of a plus lol). So this kind of segways into, dun dun dun dun, my summer goals list!!!!
1. Read every Jane Austen novel, starting with the first book she wrote and ending with the last.
2. Work out 6 days a week.
3. Do the "Special K Diet"
4. Take better care of my skin and hair
5. Practice dance, voice, and piano more. never miss a day of practice.
6. Be less fearful and more outgoing. Especially with guys.
7. Study Spanish once or twice a week
8. Eat healthier.
9. Post more on my blog!
10. Instead of always buying new clothes when i get bored of my stuff i will try to look at the clothes i already have and be more inventive
11. reconcile with my ex and get over him...
ill probably add more later.
Now, summer wish list!

California fleece tulip American Apparel skirt in black. they opened an American apparel in my mall finally! I'm so excited.

jersey high waist American apparel skirt in black
Marc by Marc Jacobs print locket pocket tote, found on shopbop.com

Now, recent buys/outfits
boring-ish outfit. just hanging out with friends that day. we watched he's just not that into you which i sort of loved, because my friend said parts of it reminded her of my life. haha. the funnier part is that I'm not offended at all by that remark.

new scarf- tj maxx

sunglasses- betsey johnson from tj maxx! im in love.

new grey skinnies from tj maxx. god my thighs look kind of huge
that's better.

me being "inventive". kind of. i put this together for a trip to the city but didn't end up wearing it. some other day. its "inventive" because i hardly every wear that shirt because it's way too big.

hello again

i haven't posted anything in months. and im pretty sure no one reads this anymore! but anyway. its been a rough past few months. in and out of relationships, family and money troubles, disappointments. but im back for the summer. ive kind of lost myself. i stopped really caring about fashion (!!!) and i never take pics of my outfits anymore. because really, they havent been very special. and i can't afford to go shopping every month like i used to. but im starting to realize what i love about fashion again, and that it doesn't necessarily mean having new clothes all the time.
things are looking up though! and im making an effort to play with my old wardrobe in new ways. pics will be up soon, i promise.
i went to prom! so i guess i'll put some pictures up. regrettably, i went dateless, seeing as my date kind of ditched me (as i mentioned before, in and out of relationships).
its almost midnight. so before i turn into a pumpkin i will bid you farewell.
night.

I haven't been on in forever and i feel bad, ive just been really busy with school, namely honors physics, and rehearsals for my school musical are starting up.
yesterday i finished my christmas shopping for all of my friends and family!
for my brother-a navy button up shirt from ae, some leather guy bracelet things, and a v-neck tee from uo that says h2o=life to go under the navy shirt.
for my mom-red flannel pjs she wanted
for my dad-ralph lauren cologne
yay! i can't post what i got for my friends here because then they would know! lol.

Currently im obsessed with the shoes in the marc by marc jacobs spring 2009 collection, and i really really want a pair but i think ill just have to see if uo comes out with a similair style this spring.
they're so unique! ah, im in love.
P.S. to fellow bloggers, if i post pictures of clothes and things that i didn't take do i need like a disclaimer or something on my page to say that im not trying to rip anyone off? or does it not matter?

on the mend

After being sick for like 3 weeks I am finally getting better! yay! Just in time for musical auditions too. So today i felt really productive, all in one day i beat guitar hero on easy mode, wrote a paper for physics, sang in my church choir, and taught myself fur elise on the piano which i weirdly never learned in my 8 years of piano lessons since its like the one song that everyone knows how to play.
So here is what i wore to church

blazer-?
top-bcbg
skirt-old navy
tights-chinese laundry
shoes-jimmy choo
+ my juicy couture charm bracelet and a simple gold necklace that you can't really see.

Democracy is not a spectator sport!

So today i found out that my grandma passed away last night. She wasn't technically my grandma, she was my mom's brother's wife's mother, but since my grandparents all died before i was born/in my early years, she was the closest thing i had to one. My brother and i weren't her grand kids but she treated us as if we were.
So at first when i heard of course i started bawling, but then i remembered that now she's with her husband, and my grandparents that she knew really well. So really, its not so sad. I mean it is sad, but i don't know. i guess this revelation has helped me deal.
On a lighter note, a few things that i have been meaning to post.

sorry sorry, mirror shot i know. again, my tripod? honestly? where did it go?
blouse old navy
vest uo
jeans express
shoes steve madden
kind of boring but i actually really liked it.

okay so some girl asked me if i got highlights, and i said no that they were natural and she was like oh because they look like you got it dyed. what do you think, do my highlights look fake?

SO the other weekend when i got home i went into my room to find that my dad finished it finally. we've been re-doing my room for three years, and not its all done, at last. the newest installments are a print from ikea of times square, a new nightstand lamp from z gallery, and two other little lamps from target.

Today i went to an elementary school with my us history class and we taught them about the constitution and we got these sweet tees that say "Democracy is not a spectator sport" which i think is a good message. Like you have to be involved you can't just sit back and wait for someone else to take the initiative.

So, i hope everyone who can will vote this year! As they say, this is the most important election you will vote in in your life, so you might as well have a say in it! You can't just hope that the candidate you're rooting for will win, you have to go DO something about it.
